CCTV show on Changes of Sino-US relations after Nixon´s visit and Landon-in-China homestay immesion

Here is the link to last night CCTV Heat Show --The Heat 20120401: Changes of Sino-US relations after Nixon´s visit. The first part of the show is an interview with legendary reporter Mr. Tom Brokaw about his 40 years of reporting on China. The last part (about 4 min) is a program about Landon-in-China. You can use the show to promote the study of Chinese at your institution.

Landon-in-China home stay immersion program is still accepting applications for its 2012 Summer Program. Landon School has been taking high school students and graduates to China over the past 10 years now and our participants got into Princeton, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Brown, Johns Hopkins early decision.

Our co-educational "Landon-in-China" program is built upon the long relationship between the Landon School (Bethesda, MD) and its three sister schools in Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai. The program is open to students in rising 9th grade and above and will take place from July 20 to August 17, 2012. No prior knowledge of Chinese is required.
Students from Landon and many other schools have traveled to China with Dr. Dali Tan since 2001. The four-week language immersion program has students staying with families in Beijing and Chengdu while attending intensive four hours of language classes in the morning and cultural classes in the afternoon. No previous knowledge of the Chinese language is required. The students will fly back to the United States from Shanghai. There is also a Landon-in-China internship opportunities in areas of students’ interests.

The all inclusive program fee for home stay language immersion program is $4,695.00 while program fee for individual internship at a Chinese university with a Chinese professor program in China is $5,695.00.
