First "Yellow River Cup" Chinese Reading Contest

Date:2012/5/2

The First "Yellow River Cup" Chinese Reading Contest is open to all
North American young Chinese learners. This is a great opportunity for
students to familiarize themselves to all the vocabulary that they
have learned in class. They can increase their vocabulary by reading
all 101 selected essays, written by fellow Chinese-studying peers.

The contest officially kicks off today, and will end on August 15th.
Students have several months to read at their pace and answer
questions online. All students between 9 to 15 years of age and have
an eWrite Chinese account are eligible to enter the contest. To
register, "purchase" the contest from the eWrite Chinese online store
and complete the required registration. The first Chinese Reading
Contest is free for all participants.

All participants will receive a free copy of《海外学生学中文100个常用句型总结》.
Students will find it very helpful in their future Chinese writing. In
addition, the top 11 winners will be granted: one 1st place award of
$100; two 2nd place awards of $50 each, and eight 3rd place awards of
$25 each. Contest details can be found online at
http://www.ewritechinese.com/contestFAQ/.

The official reading material for the contest is the Tenth
International Chinese Students Essay Competition
Selections《第十届世界华人学生作文大赛获奖作文选》. The eWrite Chinese online store
carries a limited supply of this book.
