孩子們在中文學習中，詞匯量不夠是個大問題，要專門記單詞，又非常枯燥，所以提高很慢。尤其在非漢語環境中學習漢語，還有一個應用和語感的問題。我們在多年的中文教學實踐中發現，加強閱讀，多讀，在興趣中閱讀，不但能迅速增加詞匯，還能改善語感，提高語言的應用能力。為此，我們特意舉辦一系列的
“黃河杯漢語閱讀競賽”活動，用來提高孩子們學習漢語的效率。望家長和老師鼓勵自己孩子、學生，或朋友們的孩子們參加。
通知 -首屆北美“黃河杯”中文閱讀競賽:
The First "Yellow River Cup" Chinese Reading Contest is open to all
North American young Chinese learners. This is a great opportunity for
students to familiarize themselves to all the vocabulary that they
have learned in class. They can increase their vocabulary by reading
all 101 selected essays, written by fellow Chinese-studying peers.
The contest officially kicks off today, and will end on August 15th.
Students have several months to read at their pace and answer
questions online. All students between 9 to 15 years of age and have
an eWrite Chinese account are eligible to enter the contest. To
register, "purchase" the contest from the eWrite Chinese online store
and complete the required registration. The first Chinese Reading
Contest is free for all participants.
All participants will receive a free copy of《海外學生學中文100個常用句型總結》.
Students will find it very helpful in their future Chinese writing. In
addition, the top 11 winners will be granted: one 1st place award of
$100; two 2nd place awards of $50 each, and eight 3rd place awards of
